OCWD Receives Clean 2024 Audit and Strong 2026 Budget Review

The Ohio County Water District is pleased to report that its 2024 financial audit resulted in a clean audit opinion, with no material weaknesses or deficiencies identified—the highest level an auditor can issue.

Auditors noted that OCWD’s financial statements fairly present the District’s financial position and that there were no disagreements with management during the audit process. For a small administrative staff, these results reflect strong internal controls and a continued commitment to transparency and accountability.

The District’s 2026 budget also received high praise during review, with comments highlighting its detail, disciplined planning, growing reserves, and the District’s achievement of exceeding the Board’s 250-day operating cash target.
